We welcome Darryle D. Todd Jr. (DJ) as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at HumanityHR Consulting, LLC (HHR). DJ is a seasoned professional with a rich background and an extensive track record of excellence in the field of higher education, leadership development, strategic planning as well as diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

DJ hails from Omaha, Nebraska, but currently calls Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska in 2004, demonstrating his commitment to academic achievement and business acumen. He furthered his education by attaining a Masters of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Louisville in 2006.

With nearly two decades of experience in higher education, DJ has dedicated his career to strengthening the K-16 education pipeline, working strategically and systemically to effect positive change. His areas of expertise include leadership development, strategic planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI,with a specific focus on BIPOC communities and undocumented individuals), academic and career coaching, program development, implementation, and assessment, as well as culture and environmental assessment.

DJ’s leadership acumen is exemplified by his role as the national Chair of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and University (AJCU) Conference on Diversity and Equity. In this capacity, he oversaw and guided the DEI efforts of “The Great 27” Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States of America, making a significant impact on higher education institutions nationwide.

Most recently, DJ contributed to Marquette University by overseeing the creation, implementation and the more than 700% growth of the Marquette University Urban Scholars Program. He oversaw all facets of the program, which is dedicated to educating leaders from urban areas to address the challenges facing our urban communities.

In his role as Director of Strategic Initiatives at HumanityHR Consulting, DJ is tasked with the growth and development of the Leadership and Development division while being an integral partner in the strategic planning and growth of HHR. His invaluable contributions make him an integral part of the HHR family.

Outside of his professional endeavors, DJ takes great pride in his family. He is a devoted father to three children, DaJaya (23), MaKayla (14), and Darryle III (7), who inspire and motivate him to make a positive impact on the world.

Throughout his career, DJ has actively engaged with various professional organizations, including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), Jesuit Association of Student Personnel Administrators (JASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), Undergraduate Scholars Program Administrators Association (USPAA), and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
